A turn for the better....

I just had to write earlier in the day so that you can all get an encouraging blog post for a change.
Thank you SO much for your constant prayer. God is continuing to answer our prayers, for He is and always has been so faithful.
This morning mom ate half a muffin and some cream cheese, apple juice and some hot tea. For lunch she ate half a turkey, swiss cheese, tomato and lettuce sandwich and tomato juice. She walked 300 feet with the aid of a physical therapist and walker. She is doing so well today. He pain is manageable and she is looking so much better. They are talking about removing the epidural tomorrow and beginning to discuss sending her home the first part of next week! Whew! What a day already. We are so very encouraged.
A nurse came in and trained dad on how to set and run iv nutrition for mom at home. He had about an hour training and did awesome. He is so diligent about doing everything right and being careful in each step.
We are so grateful for your love and support. The comments on the blog mean more than you know as well as all the cards and calls. We read the blog comments to her daily ( sometimes multiple times and she smiles in affirmation of all the words of encouragement.)
You are each and everyone a treasure to us all.
We are blessed beyond measure to have so many interceding on her behalf.
We thank you for all your love shown to us throughout these last 25 days days in the hospital.
With a grateful heart,

Kimberly and family.

Mom,
I am so glad to read a posting that does not contain the word nausea.
I know that you are well aware of this, but not only has your husband been there every minute of every day, but your girls have been as well. If I could, I would be there everyday too. Point being, your children truly do "rise up and call you blessed" as stated in Proverbs 31. Your life, your struggle, and your perserverence have been a witness much greater than you are aware of. I am so proud of you, and your dogged determination to trust the Lord for healing (not just feeling better). I can't wait to see you tomorrow.
Love you Mom!
Troy

What a happy post!!! I am so glad that we are now seeing God's answer to our prayers. All of you have showed great strenght and love and devotion to each other and exhibit my ultimate definition of "family." What an example for the rest of us. Your faith is incredible to behold!!!!!!
"A hero is an ordinary individual who finds the strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles."(Christopher Reeve)
Diva and Warren, you are my hero's.

Hello Duckie,
Did you miss me? Jim's computer is acting like it is on its last legs.
I read this happy note and cannot get this smile off my face. It is just like the day I got my new teeth and just had to "test drive" them.
Your diet sounds lots better than mine. I think that is the way to go.
You walked 300 feet with a walker and a helper. My walker is taking me 3/4 miles these days. I have escaped the culdesac (sp?). Yeahoo!
The homes here are kept so pretty. Maybe there will be some new ideas in my future. Especially the raised beds. Just think how Otto will be happy when I start sketching these ideas.
Jim has been working like a mad man
on getting the trees and undergrowth controlled. He has done so much to help himself and his neighbors from poss falling big trees...it is wonderful to watch.
I love how your girls call you mama. It is warm and loving. Atta Girl......you did something right too. We both have "keepers".
Well love, you rest now. It looks like we will be getting home about the same time. Who loves ya?

May the GOOD reports increase and keep coming and may all negative ones take a hike and disappear. I see in you all the fruit of the Holy Spirit: love, joy, peace, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, and great perserverence in the face of extreme difficulty. I pray the eye of the 'hurricane' is past for you and there is sun(Son)shine ahead for you really SOON. Love & prayers. Sylvia

Ladeva,
It is so wonderful to hear what a huge step you have taken today. You have been touched by GOD and we are blessed because of HIS grace. I am so moved by the never ending support from your family.
Warren, you are "the man". What a testament you have been to me over these last 25 days. I can only hope that all of us husbands could do as well as you have. Thank you for being an example of the fruits of the Spirit.
Carmen, kim, Troy and families. I love you guys! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking care of your mother.
Love you Dahlin family, and I'm proud to call you my cousin.

Dear Deva & All:
We will call tomorrow to see if you
are still there Tuesday. If you are
we plan to visit you. We would
prefer to visit you at your home
when we return on Thursday. In due
time we shall reap if we faint not
God wants us to persevere in prayer
because when we continue in prayer
it shows that we are still believing in spite of the circumstances. My prayers starting
last night have been, "thank You
Lord for answered prayer". LOve Dino

El'o Duckie,
I am addicted to the good news....I want more, just like all of your friends and family. We can "exhale" together .
Thurs. is the apt. w/ the surgeon. Am expecting to be released to drive.
It is possible that Jim will take me home Thurs. night. Then...no computer.
Heart to heart
