Praise God!
The port is finally in place. They came in and said that the reason they could not get it in was that the tissue around the port opening was swollen and they believed there was a blod clot at the site.
They decided that they could have Mom put ice back on it and then they would use a topical anesthetic on the skin for a while, then inject an anesthetic under the skin. They got her really numb and then they got the first one inserted. They were unable to find the place of insertion for the second port so they did an x-ray to have a reference point. They came back and got the second one placed.
She had a great nurse and Dr. that placed the needles. The needles are good for seven days before they need to be changed. It would be great if we could get the chemo done before the needles have to be replaced.
Mom is doing great, so subsequently we are all doing great. Thank you for praying for Mom and thank you for checking on the blog to see how you can pray specifically.
God is faithful always. He has been so gracious to us during this stressful time and we are so grateful to Him for is peace and presence.

Praise God - He is worthy of our praise. I check the site several times a day and there is so much I want to say - We rejoiced at the news of the man in the next room praying with Warren - God has everything all planned and worked out already, and He places us EXACTLY where He needs us to be, when we need to be there. Knowing LaDeva, I am positive God will use her to minister to others while undergoing her treatment. We learned when Mickey went thru his cancer surgery that in looking back to the time prior to it, God had been preparing us both for the testing we would go through. Our greatest commandment from the Lord is to love as Jesus loves.... And LaDeva is one of the most loving people I have ever met.... God has chosen her for this testing time because He knows He can trust her with it to do His will. I cannot begin to tell you how our testing time has been full of blessings along with the heartache and fear (yes, fear.... and its okay to be afraid of what you have to endure - just not be afraid of the CAUSE). They told us cancer is just a word. But it is a scary word. Greater Is He that is in me, than he that is in the world. And I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I've committed unto Him against that day.........

I READ SOMETHING TODAY THAT I THOUGHT WAS SO COOL. IT SAYS:

ALSO I WAS TALKING TO A FRIEND OF MINE WHO WENT THRU A LOT OF CHEMO, RADIATION AND A RADICAL SURGERY AND HAS BEEN CANCER FREE NOW FOR 7 OR 8 YEARS AND FEELS SO GOOD AND SHE SAID THAT WHEN SHE WAS GOING THRU CHEMO THAT SHE THOUGHT ABOUT THINGS THAT SHE WANTED TO DO WITH DIFFERNT PEOPLE, PLACES SHE WANTED TO GO TO, FUN THINGS THAT SHE HAD DONE IN THE PAST OR PLACES THAT SHE LOVED. SHE FOUND A PERFECT SPOT IN HER MIND THAT WAS BEAUTIFUL AND SERENE AND GOD WAS ALWAYS THERE AND SHE WOULD GO TO THAT PLACE IN HER MIND AND SHE WOULD ALWAYS GET PEACE AND REST. SHE LISTENED TO PRAISE MUSIC, AND GAVE THANKS FOR ALL OF THE THINGS IN HER LIFE THAT ARE SPECIAL TO HER HEART AND SHE SAID THAT THAT GOT HER THRU A LOT OF THE NOT SO GOOD TIMES.
SHE IS AN AWESOME TESTEMONY TO WHAT GOD CAN DO AND SHE IS ON HER KNEES FOR YOU DEE!!!
I HOPE THAT THIS IS A DAY OF REST FOR YOU TO RECOUP AND GET SOME STRENGTH BACK FROM ALL OF THE ORDEALS THAT YOU HAVE BEEN THRU. GEARING UP FOR THE NEXT STEP THAT WILL GET THRU THIS JOURNEY AND ON TO BETTER TIMES.

We have been checking the blog daily and have been praying for you and your family as well. We also have your situation passed around to several from a local Bible study so that you are continually held up in prayer. You are loved by all of the Moores in New Mexico and are in our prayers. We know that God will see you through this. It will be neat to find out what good comes out of all of this and the reason that God has allowed this to happen.
