It's snowing

Before I share what Kimberly wrote I wanted to clarify that the surgery Ladeva has had so far was to biopsy the cancer. After chemotherapy she will then have surgery to remove the tumor.

The Dr.’s came in this morning and have decided mom needs to have the filter inserted into her leg to prevent blood clots. That won’t happen until Monday or Tuesday. Her leg is quite swollen which indicates that she has some internal bleeding around the wound site from the biopsy. The section he removed was vascular and fluid filled along with a portion of the tumor itself. She did bleed a lot. The upside of this is that she has not had any nerve pain at all since the biopsy. He may have relieved enough so that the nerve is not being pushed on anymore.
I came home late last night and dad stayed with mom. I am going to spend some time with Brian and the kids and head back up there this afternoon so Dad can come home and shower, sleep and decompress.
Mom and Dad are doing well. They are more relaxed as Mom’s pain is under control. Her temperature was up slightly this morning, but not enough to make her uncomfortable. Certainly better than the 105˚ it was yesterday. We have had some good nurses which also makes it easier to relax.
The snow falling will be beautiful from her window, so I am happy to see it, even if it is late April.

Our prayers are that she has no blood clotting before surgery, that she responds well to the procedure and the swelling will subside so she can go home. She will now see the Dr.’s Tuesday the 29th for the biopsy results and to meet with the chemotherapy doctor. She will start chemotherapy a few days after that.
Thank you for praying with us.

Kimberly

The snow this morning was indeed beautiful. God always has a way to give us special little joys even when times seem really tough. He is good all the time and we know He is walking with all of you now. None of this surprises Him so we continue to trust in His goodness. We love you guys and are praying. Sandy B.

I get a little "note" from God (and google) everyday and the other day it was something to the effect of God only gives us something to bear for a day, we are not to take on the worries of tomorrow or the past, that's history....Just today; and today....The sun is shining and my prayers are with you all...My love to all of you.....Michaelea

Ladeva,
I am so thankful for Kimberly keeping us posted. Modern technology is incredible. I am sorry to hear what all you are going through though. I pray God eases all complications and stumbling blocks to get you through this quicker. I took previous e-mials and blog to work this am and posted it on the board. I worked in TLC (GJ 41pts.)so didn't hear comments. A couple of people in the front office asked about you and were all happy to hear the PET scan results. That is such GREAT news. I know hospitals get monotinous (does this thing have spell check?) really fast so hang in there Ladeva. I love you and am praying daily for you. CH

From Ray & Lynn
Was so surprised to answer the phone and find myself talking to you. That made Dad's night. He called Mom this morning to tell her that you had called.
His test came back negative for blood so is being referred to a specialist in Centralia.
I found a little picture album you made for the folks. What a great idea. I love the cowboy boots and dress.
In our hearts.

Ladeva so sorry you are being subjected to all this! Don't let those nurses be too rough on you or I will have to come up and give them the what for and straighten them out. ha ha Loveyou and praying for your full recovery. Get well soon and we will finally go for that lunch that we have talked about for so long. Last day at PCLI is May 8. For real this time. See you soon. Sally
