Monday Evening

The Dr.'s have decided to do the wash out surgery on Thursday but the port may not happen until Friday, so Mom has won another week at hotel UWMC.
They are trying to keep their spirits up, but it is hard to face another week here when they came ready for just a few days. I will be coming up again tomorrow and Dad is going to run home to get himself a few more clothes and check the house and mail, then back up here. I am leaving to head home in a little while.
There was a mix up with if she should or shouldn't get an antibiotic tonight, so I was glad we got it figured out before I leave. They took a culture from her wound today, so we will have to wait and see what grows.
I will try to update you in the morning after rounds with the Dr. in the morning.
Thanks again and much love to you all.

XOXO
Kimberly

It's Tue. AM and I'm praying with DJ that all goes well with the washout and that the culture comes back satisfactory. I realize you are having a long week, but hang in there darling. The Lord is helping in all ways unseen. We all need you back in ship shape.

It was probably good that Warren had a chance to go home and check the house and mail.

Donna tells me Carmen and crew are helping with the business and you are blessed to have her family and your son doing as much as they can. The big bonus will be the day we see you all at home, living life as it should be. Virginia and I love you all so much even through we have not met your precious children we feel we have known them forever. Your family circle gets bigger and bigger every minute of every day Deva. We all love you so much. Get on with getting well so we can go to Danny's for a poo poo platter.
I know all of your siblings are there for support. Fortunately I have DJ to comfort me and help me through. We are good together. What a girl. She is your little special jewel isn't she. She's right there in your lap.
Love until later in the day or tomorrow. I think your are a bright "Lite Bub". Just keep on glowing.

Ladeva and family,

Please know that I have been thinking and praying for you all daily. I have faith that healing will come, Ladeva. You're going to beat this! As Dr. Ford often prays before his surgeries, "May God give your doctors the skill and wisdom" when making the decisions that will help you to beat this. I also know you'll win this battle because you still owe me a cinnamon roll breakfast and a cup of coffee. :) I love you Ladeva, and if there's anything at all that I can do, please don't hesitate to call.

Ladeva,

Just know we are praying for you and your recovery.

I found something kind of cute...since you have a great sense of humor: Cancer won't bestow a sense of humor on someone who doesn't have one....but a sense of humor can sure get you through the expierence.

We will help you keep the sense of humor my friend and be there for you every step of the way!!

Love ya lots, Purplegirl

Ladeva and family,
Nancy S (your old friend)shared with me about your hospital stay. She has a card that she will send to the house tomorrow. You know she doesn't like this new technology... We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers. Take care.
