Dear Dahlin Family,
I'm am the nurse that gave Ladeva one of her first doses of chemotherapy on nightshift on 6SE. I always remember Ladeva for how she greeted me with her wonderful smile and how many people loved her. When I walked in her room, there were many cards on the walls, flowers and constant bedside support from her family. You can always tell how many people a person has touched in their lives by how many people come to their bedside when ill. It was obvious she was dearly loved. I am sorry to hear of her passing. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Sincerely, Julie Kari, RN, BSN

Dahlin Family,
I thought I’d take moment to send my sentiments regarding Ladeva, since I didn’t do it at the service. I think I can sum them best by saying that so many people in life are good at showing love, but very few have the knack of making you feel loved. Ledeva could do that effortlessly it seemed. The only other person I’ve even know with that trait was my Grandma and I was lucky enough to spend three days by her bed last fall when she took her last breath. I felt I was the luckiest person alive to have been her Granddaughter. I also feel lucky to have known Ladeva while growing up.

A few years back her and Warren stopped by our house. She and I were talking and she picked up an 8x10 portrait I had from when I was about three years old. After studying with delight she said, “Oh Sheila I just love this picture, you know why?” “Because this photo tells me your mother loved and adored you very much. Just look at the beautiful white lace socks so carefully turned down, the patent leather shoes, the red velvet dress and the way your hair is curled just perfectly. Your mother was very happy she had a beautiful little girl”. I really didn’t know what to say but in my heart I was smiling big and wondering if she had any idea just how it music to my ears to hear that I had a mother and she loved me. Did she know I needed to hear that? Who would think so observe something like that or say that? I am grateful for her words.

Warren,Troy,Carmen,Kim and all your wonderful family I just want you to know you are all in my prayers. The service for Diva was wonderful!!! A beautiful time to share and show our love. There are no words to take away the pain and sorrow but I know Diva's heart and how very much she loved us all but especially all her sweet family. I miss her and will always have love in my heart for her and each and every one of her family and beautiful friends. Dale and I are here to help in any way! With our love always, Linda and Dale.
