The Benefit Committee's plea for help purchasing a much needed software for the Auction has been answered!
We would like to send a big "Thank you!" to Dr. Ford and Debbie Eldridge for their generous donation from Pacific Cataract & Laser Institute. PCLI has offered to cover the full cost for the software. For those of you who may not be aware, Mom retired from PCLI last year. Mama loved working for PCLI and as you can see, they loved her too.
We have also received several more offers to donate money. The Benefit Committee gratefully welcomes any further donations. However, any future donations would be used to purchase a long list of needs such as ingredients for punch, cups, paper plates, forks, napkins, paper, printing, etc.
Please keep Mama, Daddy and our family in your prayers today. (Tuesday) We will be meeting with the Dr. to hear the results of her PET Scan and MRI. The decisions will also be made as to what is the next course of action will be. At this point, surgery to remove the tumor is scheduled for Wednesday should that be the Doctor's decision. Otherwise, I believe they will cancel surgery. Please pray for wisdom for the Doctors and all that are involved in this process. We have mixed feelings of what is best and what "good news" is to sound like. Our trust is in God, the great Physician. God's will be done.

What wonderful news that you were given today! What a horrible and wonderful journey you are on. As a witness of your courage, beauty, and obedience to God I can only say that of all of the vast creations that the Lord has made, you are among the very most priceless to him. Throughout this process so far, I have seen you make spiritual mountain tops out of the physical valleys that you have been given. Your full reliance on God is both encouraging and humbling as one who often forgets who is truly in charge. If I (or the girls) were to write the story of your life, it would be filled with chapters of triumphs by a little woman with a huge servant's heart. I can only imagine how much joy you bring and how large the smile is on the face of your Father when He looks down and sees the sick witnessing to the lost.
I only wish that everyone could really see how miserable you are physically while never stronger in faith. Christ asked "if this cup could pass from Him" just as we all did for you. The cup was not passed for Him as it was not for you. He was obedient and so have you been. Webster defines a Christian as "one who's goals are consistent with the teachings of Christ". Christ taught in stories, words, and actions. Thank you for following the example of Christ througout this ghastly ordeal and showing me and everyone else that has came in contact with you that life is about more than the current hand we are dealt.
